What is the recommended dose of EVOXAC?

The recommended dose of EVOXAC is 30 milligrams taken three times a day. Do not take more than the recommended dose.

Who should take EVOXAC?

EVOXAC is indicated to treat symptoms of dry mouth in patients with Sjögren’s syndrome. It is available by prescription only.
As many as four million people in the United States have Sjögren’s syndrome. Most people are older than age 40 at the time of diagnosis. Women are nine times more likely than men to develop Sjögren’s syndrome.

What are the most common side effects of EVOXAC?

In the clinical studies of EVOXAC, the most common side effects were excessive sweating, nausea (upset stomach), sinusitis (sinus infection), rhinitis (runny nose), upper respiratory tract infection, and diarrhea. Please see the Important Safety Information about EVOXAC on the bottom of this page.

Does EVOXAC treat any other symptoms from Sjögren’s syndrome?

EVOXAC is indicated to treat symptoms of dry mouth in patients with Sjögren’s syndrome. It is not indicated to treat or prevent Sjögren’s syndrome or other symptoms of Sjögren’s syndrome. It is also not indicated to treat any other condition.

Will I have to take EVOXAC for the rest of my life?
A:
EVOXAC is an effective first-line therapy for relieving symptoms of dry mouth in patients with Sjögren's syndrome. It is a prescription medication that works by helping the salivary glands produce more saliva. If you stop taking EVOXAC, your symptoms of dry mouth may come back.
