Dry mouth and Sjögren's syndrome
Practicing good oral health
If you have Sjögren’s syndrome, you may experience dry-mouth symptoms, so it’s important to practice good oral health.
Tips for healthy oral hygiene habits
Here are some tips that may help you maintain good oral health:
- Floss every day
- Brush your teeth before and after eating
- See your dental health provider at least three times a year. The American Dental Association suggests that people with Sjögren’s syndrome visit their dental health provider more often than other people
- Discuss all your symptoms of dry mouth with your dentist and be sure to ask about other treatment options. You can also ask about products that help protect and strengthen tooth enamel
EVOXAC® is indicated to treat symptoms of dry mouth in patients with Sjögren’s syndrome. EVOXAC is not indicated to treat or prevent Sjögren’s syndrome or other symptoms of Sjögren’s syndrome.
